The Story

Berlandiera lyrata, with the common names chocolate flower, chocolate daisy, or lyreleaf greeneyes, is native to North America. The flowers bloom at night from spring until frost, and in frost-free areas it will bloom year-round. Once the flowers drop they leave an attractive green disc shape. To ensure that it will continue to bloom as long as possible the spent flowers can be removed.
