The Story

A low cushion of tiny silver-gray narrow and small yellow flowers on leafless stalks. The plants forms mats up to 3 feet across. The tiny flowers occur in dense showy clusters, and fade to creamy white.

These petite plants are native to North America, and are found growing natively in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and Yukon Territory. In the United States it is found in Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
